The staff at Montessori in Redlands
has created a culture of caring for students and for each
other. MIR has a history of staff retention, allowing for
long-term personal and professional relationships and a deep
level of commitment to the school and its mission.
The teachers at MIR form a cohesive
team. Each lead teacher holds a diploma from the Association
Montessori International (AMI).
Montessori teacher training emphasizes
the development of the whole child. The collective emotional,
physical, intellectual, and social needs of the child are
addressed to guide the child's progress. Your child's teacher
is trained to observe the individual interests and needs of
each child, demonstrate the correct use of classroom materials,
assess each child's progress and needs, and guide each child
to appropriate activities.
Each classroom has one or more assistants
who support the teacher and students. In addition, MIR employs
support staff, who perform various duties in direct support
of the classrooms and other school programs. |
